This centennial celebration was such a wonderful community event.  We celebrated the life of a school that has truly brought a community together for 100 years.  Teri Carlson did an outstanding job with her team of helpers.  They have worked for a year (or more) to make this day such a success.  The weather was perfect and a great time was had by all.

Centennial Celebration…

I certainly don’t feel 100 years old. And I just don’t look it. I look as good as the day I was built. Oh sure, I have a few homey creaks in my floorboards, and I sing a quiet song when the wind blows, but those things just add to my charm. Think for a moment of all the things I’ve seen and all the wonderful (and naughty) children I’ve helped to educate. Lots of you are around and you have helped to keep my doors open to children all these years.

Let’s celebrate the centennial of Summit Valley School on Saturday, June 27th, right here on the school grounds. It will be wonderful to see you all again.
